The invitations are finally complete and off to the printer. I am not sure why, but I’ve been really keen on this chocolate brown and lime colour combinatoin. It just seems right.

We’ll be labelling and sending invites out on Monday, it seems. Tuesday at the latest. I’m most concerned about the guests from Iran getting the invites in time to RSVP. While dates are marked and we have some idea of who’s coming there are still catering and seating arrangements to confirm.

Even though things are pretty simple, by wedding standards, with our event, there are a great many variables to consider simultaneous to the many other full-time work obligations, freelance jobs, and artistic endeavours I am involved with. While I know it’s a lot of work for one day, I know it will all be worth it to share our love with family and friends.

I am finailizing the design this weekend and should be getting them printed next week. Everyone says we’re waaay behind on getting these out, but what can you do, when you only have a few months to plan a wedding?

I hope that by now the news has spread far and wide and the invitations are more of a formality, and even more: an opportunity to set the tone for the event to come.

Personally, I think the invites look smashing. It was certainly intimidating designing our own wedding invitations! I hope you like them.
